Caspian Captures

I went out to Jetty Island to photograph the Osprey nests, but I found the Caspian Terns to be even more captivating.  I spent almost the whole afternoon trying to capture the terns diving and catching a fish.  I got many pictures of the dive, but only one image of the bird emerging with a tiny fish in its beak.  I did see lots of terns flying by with all sorts of interesting fish in their mouths.  They are very photogenic birds.
